Exhibits must remain until 4 p.m. Sunday, or prize money will be withheld.
No straw allowed in barns.
Wood chips acceptable.

    1. All recognized breeds plus crossbreeds will be shown if available.
    2. The Mercer County Fair is part of the N.D. Junior Point Show.
    3. Class premiums:

    1st………… $20

    2nd ………. $15

    3rd ……….. $10

    Breeding Gilts

    LOT

    1901   Gilts (Jan. 1, 2015 to Feb. 28, 2015).

    1902   Gilts (March 1, 2015 to April 30, 2015).

     

    Sub lots may be created under each lot to separate purebreds from crossbred and winners from each lot shall be included for the overall female class.

     

    Champion and Reserve Champion Female will be selected from Lots 1901-1902. Supreme Gilt: GC $100, RC $50

     

     

    Market Hogs (barrow and gilt)

    (gilts may only show in one class, either breeding or market)

     

    LOT

    1903   Premiere Market hogs to be determined by weight. <210 pounds. Sub lot A – Market Gilts

    Sub lot B – Market Barrows

     

    Lot 1903 participants are not eligible to compete for overall market hog.

     

    LOT

    1904   Market hogs to be determined by weight. >210 pounds. Sub lot A – Market Gilts

    Sub lot B – Market Barrows

    Sub lots may be broken down further based on class sizes and range of weights.

     

    Sub lots shall be created under each lot to separate market gilts and market barrows and winners from each lot or sub lot shall be included for the overall market hog class.

     

    1. Market class prize money from Lot 1904: GC ……… $250

    RC ……… $200

    3rd ……… $150

    4th ……… $100

    5th ……….. $50

    1. Swine market classes will be weighed on Saturday at 6 p.m.
    2. Lots will be split if there are sufficient numbers.
